A third of people with the virus shown no symptoms, so it is essential to social distance with all those outside of your support bubble and household. Those with symptoms most likely have at least one of the following:

  • A high temperature
  • A continuous cough
  • A loss of smalle and/or taste
  • A shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Chest pain

If you have any of these sympotms, you and your household/bubble should get a test as soon as possible, and not leave the house until the results come in. If unsure of what to do call 111. You can check your symptoms here.

During these tough times, you might need some support. If you fill out he form here, you can see how the government can support you with issues such as:

  • Feeling unsafe at home
  • Difficulty in making rent or paying bills
  • Being made redundant
  • Mental health
  • and more

Please be patient if you have not yet recieved your vaccination (please avoid contacting the NHS for the vaccination). You should only go to get a vaccination if you have been asked to do so from the NHS. Currently, the following groups of people have been asked to get vaccinated:
  • Those aged 70+
  • Those who are clinically extremely vulnerable to COVID-19
  • Those who work or live in care homes
  • Health and social workers
The vaccine consists of two doses, where the second dose is given 3-12 weeks after the first. There exists some side effects but they should be gone after a week:
  • sore arm (where the needle was put)
  • feeling tired
  • a headache
  • feeling/being sick
You should not have the vaccine if:
  • The NHS has not asked you to get one
  • You have had an allergic reaction to the first dose
  • You are allergic to an ingredient in the vaccine

If you absolutely must travel, please plan your journed ahead of time. Remember to wear your mask and carry some hand sanitiser. The following are likely to be busy at 0545-0815 and 1600-1730:

What can and can't you do?

You may only leave home to:

  • shop for necessities
  • work, if unable to do so remotely
  • exercise (once per day without leaving your support bubble)
  • meet your bubble
  • seek medical assistance/avoid risk of harm (incl. domestic abuse)
  • attend education

If you do need to leave the home, for any of the above reasons, it is important that you keep in your local area, unless necessary to do otherwise. You are not permitted to meet anyone not from your household/bubble (unless permitted). If you come into contact with people, you must social distance.You may exercise once per day with another person, or with your household/bubble.

Reduce the Spread When Out

  • Regularly Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. If unable to, at the least use hand sanitiser
  • Wear a face covering that covers your mouth and nose
  • Social distance

Reduce the Spread at Home

To limit the spread amongst those you live with:

  • Regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
  • Clean frquently touched surfaces regularly
  • Let in fresh air

Fines

You can be given a £200 fine for your first offence, doubling each offence(maximum=£6,400). If you are involved in holding, an illegal gathering of over 30 people, the police can issue fines of £10,000.
